THE REGION AS A TERRITORIALLY STABLE SYSTEM

Abstract

The paper’s subject is the region as a territorial system, comprised various components and their reaction under different conditions. Employed are the principles of system analysis. Studied is the interaction of the territorial system and factors external for it, the environment, the processes within the territorial system with impact on its structure, as well as the latter’s evolution. Stability and equilibrium, types of equilibrium, structuring and destructuring of the territory are other aspects under consideration.
