SIMULATING DIGITAL FILTERS WITH Qucs/QucsStudio

EMIL FRENSKI, Member, IEEE

Abstract

The design and simulation of digital filters is supported by Matlab® and Simulink, but these tools are very expensive and require training courses. In this paper we proposed Qucs/QucsStudio as a simulations tools which is freely available. Another advantage is the schematics editor, enabling easy drawing the filter structure by connecting the blocks of delay, coefficient multiplication and signal summation.
