RESULTS FROM THE SUPRANATIONAL EFFORTS FOR INTENSIFYING FISCAL DECENTRALIZATION IN THE EUROPEAN UNION DURING THE FIRST DECADE OF 21ST CENTURY

Abstract
The paper aims to analyze different dimensions of the state governance’s decentralization in EU and the role of fiscal decentralization in this process. The empirical analysis focuses on the relationship between fiscal decentralization and economic growth in the EU (27). The regression results support the conventional understanding among scientists and politicians for positive influence of the fiscal decentralization on economic growth.
